| Detailed Description |
| I'm 36 and originally from London, where I was first a music journalist, then in 2006 went on to open up my own vintage-inspired cabaret supper club with a friend. The travel bug got the better of me in 2011, however, and I left for Asia. I'm now Deputy Editor of a magazine called South East Asia Backpacker, and have called Koh Phangan home for most of this year (in between trips). Writing is my big passion (as well as travel), so sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am that right now I'm doing both. I don't need to physically be in Asia to do my job, and it'll be nice to have a break from it.
Came to Melbourne a couple of weeks ago to visit friends, and fell in love with the place. Am now looking for a 6-month lease on a house, with a room big enough for a desk, and a separate living room.
I'm pretty social, but also like a lot of 'me' time, and like using my time at home to chill out - so don't really want to be somewhere where it's party central! Saying that, of course I don't mind the odd one.
I'm going back to Thailand for a few weeks on 6th August to tie up some loose ends, and will be back here in Melbourne at the beginning of September. Can easily stay with friends until the right place comes along.
A bit more about me to finish... I'm addicted to philosophy and psychology books. And then there's... shopping, any kind of hobby where I get to make something from scratch (or just look pretty), drinking too many lattes, dawdling round museums, burning ridiculous numbers of calories dancing... I'm also a bit of a classical music geek. I've got an inexplicable fear of drowning (I don't even like putting my whole face under the shower head), and an completely unfathomable crush on Phil Collins.
